The Manager, Supply Planning leads strategic supply chain initiatives by leveraging advanced data analysis and digital tools to optimize inventory management and supplier performance. This role drives operational efficiency through collaboration with cross-functional partners, ensuring seamless replenishment and logistics processes. The manager evaluates inventory trends and financial impacts to inform decision-making, supports continuous improvement efforts, and fosters strong business partnerships. By aligning supply planning with organizational goals, this position contributes to delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining cost-effective and compliant supply chain operations.
About the team:
The fresh meat and seafood supply planning team oversees the management and flow of fresh inventory across distribution centers and clubs. Collaborating closely with merchants, suppliers, and replenishment partners, the team ensures key performance metrics such as on-time in-full delivery, instock levels, and product presentation are met. Responsibilities include order flow management, sell-by-date oversight, accurate forecasting, and supplier coordination. Team members build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to guarantee supply reliability and operational efficiency, supporting Walmart’s commitment to delivering quality products consistently to customers.
What you'll do...
- Analyze merchandise sales data and industry trends to inform supply planning decisions and optimize inventory levels.
- Develop replenishment plans in collaboration with Merchandising, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor supplier performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions to maintain supply reliability.
- Leverage digital tools and data analytics to identify root causes of supply issues and drive continuous process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to align strategies and resolve logistics or inventory challenges.
- Support financial planning by reviewing profit and loss impacts related to supply chain activities.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in digital tools and technologies for business performance evaluation and reporting.
- Experience in financial management, including profit and loss analysis and cost optimization.
- Ability to develop and execute replenishment plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in supplier performance management and resolving supply chain disruptions effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities to foster collaboration.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
