Job Description:

Senior Designer (Solventum)

3M Health Care is now Solventum

At Solventum, we enable better, smarter, safer healthcare to improve lives. As a new company with a long legacy of creating breakthrough solutions for our customers’ toughest challenges, we pioneer game-changing innovations at the intersection of health, material and data science that change patients' lives for the better while enabling healthcare professionals to perform at their best. Because people, and their wellbeing, are at the heart of every scientific advancement we pursue.

We partner closely with the brightest minds in healthcare to ensure that every solution we create melds the latest technology with compassion and empathy. Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.

Solve Studio is Solventum’s in-house creative studio — built to move with the speed, craft and ambition of a modern agency. As we bring a newly launched global brand to life, we’re building the creative foundation, operating model and culture that will shape how Solventum shows up in the world.

We’re looking for a Senior Designer who brings a sharp visual eye, a compelling portfolio, and a passion for building thoughtful, human-centered brand experiences. Someone who’s equally comfortable designing high‑impact work, shaping the look and feel of lifestyle photography and video, contributing to integrated campaigns, and partnering across disciplines with warmth and professionalism.

This is a role for a maker with taste, drive and imagination — and a collaborator who helps elevate our visual craft across every touchpoint.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Visual Design Excellence

  • Create beautifully crafted design across brand campaigns, digital experiences, social content, activations, presentations and integrated storytelling.
  • Bring a refined visual point of view, balancing consistency with creative exploration as Solventum’s new brand evolves.
  • Translate strategy, insights and complex ideas into clear, compelling visual systems.
  • Uphold high standards of craft, clarity and design rigor across every execution.

Photo Art Direction & Video Direction

  • Shape the creative direction of lifestyle photography and video — helping define mood, style, compositions, color, and overall visual narrative.
  • Partner closely with art directors, producers and creative leads on shoots: contributing to casting, locations, styling and shot lists.
  • Develop storyboard,, visual references and mood boards that communicate vision with precision and inspiration.
  • Ensure every image and frame feels intentional, human, on‑brand and tells a story.

Creative Collaboration & Studio Partnership

  • Work seamlessly with writers, brand strategists, motion designers, project managers and marketers to develop cohesive, integrated work.
  • Participate in team critiques with confidence and kindness — offering constructive feedback that elevates the work and strengthens ideas.
  • Bring reliability, organization and strong communication to a fast-moving studio environment.
  • Contribute to a culture that values curiosity, craft excellence, inclusion and creative problem-solving.

Modern Creative Craft & Curiousity

  • Use contemporary tools — including AI‑enabled workflows where appropriate, to enhance ideation, iteration and final output.
  • Stay attuned to design, photography, motion and cultural trends, bringing fresh inspiration into the studio.
  • Help develop repeatable templates, systems and standards that support consistency without stifling creativity.

Human-Centered Brand Building

  • Create design solutions that are not only visually compelling, but empathetic, accessible and grounded in real human needs.

  • Ensure every output reflects Solventum’s purpose and builds trust with healthcare professionals and patients.
