  • Collaborate with Team Leaders to develop and implement strategies, review complex medical information, and guide claims staff in interpreting reports in line with customer experience goals.
  • Identify and address barriers to recovery and claim progression, particularly in long-term claims.
  • Monitor and influence case management strategies, providing insights from audits, trends, and performance data to inform operational improvements.

As an Injury Management Specialist, you will become a subject matter expert on personal injury management practices to support claims teams in developing the most effective return to work, return to life and recovery strategies. The purpose of this role is to implement EMLs Psychological Injury Recovery and Return to Work strategy to deliver an enhanced service experience, drive Early intervention and support recovery to achieve positive outcomes.

This will be a permanent , full time position based in our Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home once fully trained.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support claims strategy and early sustained return-to-work outcomes through coaching, training, and technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders to develop and implement strategies, review complex medical information and guide claims staff in interpreting reports in line with customer experience goals.
  • Identify and address barriers to recovery and claim progression, particularly in long-term claims.
  • Monitor and influence case management strategies while providing insights from audits, trends, and performance data to inform operational improvements.
  • Support vocational rehabilitation through communication with internal and external stakeholders to create initiatives and advise on appropriate service use.
  • Participate in case reviews and provide technical advice at key recovery milestones, ensuring compliance with legislative and policy requirements to contribute to WHS culture.
  • Deliver monthly segment performance reporting alongside recommendations to mitigate risks and improve outcomes
     

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Allied Health - Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy
  • A passion for building strong relationships and influencing positive outcomes
  • Excellent understanding of Workers Compensation processes and scheme is highly desirable
  • Great relationship building, communication and influencing skills to engage stakeholders and drive outcomes
  • A strategic, solutions focused mindset to manage medical, legal, insurance and psychosocial considerations
