Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Hands-on experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, vulnerability scanning tools)
  • Knowledge of security principles and industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)

Requirements:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and update the company’s information security strategy for infrastructure and software development
  • Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure, software, and hardware; install monitoring software to detect breaches
  • Identify, define, and document system security requirements; perform risk assessment, incident response, and monitoring of systems for irregular behavior
  • Educate and train staff on information system security best practices; ensure processes are followed and conduct technical feasibility analyses when developing solutions

Mission

Securing company assets by taking proactive measures, identifying vulnerabilities, deploying protective technologies, and responding to incidents. Collaborating with peers ensures comprehensive understanding and becoming a beacon of security best practices. Architect and deploy solutions that maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive information and systems, effectively mitigating risks.

Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system security engineering, network security, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Experience with risk assessment, penetration testing, and incident response methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching.
  • Familiarity with security-related regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Advanced English (Level B2 or higher)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement, and update the company’s information security strategy for infrastructure and software development.
  • Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
  • Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure, software and hardware.
  • Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions. 
  • Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures. 
  • Educate and train staff on information system security best practices for software development.
  • Ensure processes are followed and effective technical feasibility analysis is conducted when developing solutions

Given our teams are currently located in Buenos Aires City, Argentina, remote position candidates are required to be living within GMT-3 and GMT-1 location.
