Role Overview Senior-level administrator responsible for end-to-end tenant governance and platform health across the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Copilot Studio Agents. Works with a small team of platform admins, partners with IT security, data governance, and business stakeholders, and ensures scalable, compliant, and cost-effective solutions in a healthcare environment. Reports to Infrastructure Engineering β M365 Team Manager. Work hours aligned to Pacific Time (PT) with potential near-shore collaboration; hybrid/remote options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Own tenant architecture and environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod lifecycle, sandboxing, resource management) and oversee lifecycle of Power Platform assets.
- Administer Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot Studio Agents; manage environments, connections, data policies, AI capabilities, and governance controls.
- Implement and enforce security and compliance controls: RBAC, data access governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), auditing, retention policies, and HIPAA/HITRUST-aligned practices.
- Lead ALM and release management: solution packaging, source control (CI/CD pipelines), deployment automation, environment provisioning, and dependency management.
- Monitor performance, usage, and costs; perform capacity planning, optimization, and incident response; maintain runbooks and post-incident reviews.
- Manage licensing, cost governance, and budget forecasting; act as liaison with licensing and procurement teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, security, privacy, clinical informatics, and business units; lead design reviews and governance forums; maintain COE documentation.
- Drive user enablement and adoption: training programs, governance communications, champions program, and self-service capabilities while maintaining control boundaries.
- Oversee data integration and security: on-prem/cloud data sources, gateways, connectors, data mapping, quality, and secure data exchange.
- Lead Copilot Studio Agents governance: configure agents, apply policies, monitor usage, training, and compliance for AI-assisted automation.
- Manage vendor relationships and internal service providers; coordinate Microsoft support as needed.
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery planning for the Power Platform and related data assets.
Team Leadership and Management
- Work with a small team of 2β4 Power Platform administrators; set priorities and manage workloads.
- Promote professional growth, establish training plans, and facilitate knowledge sharing across the team and enterprise.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Power Platform administration and governance (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio Agents) in a large enterprise.
- Deep knowledge of Power Platform Admin Center, CoE capabilities, environment strategy, governance, DLP, and ALM/CI-CD practices.
- Experience with Azure AD, data security, identity management, and integration with enterprise data sources (on-prem and cloud).
- Strong incident management, problem-solving, and analytical skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA/HITRUST awareness) and applying them to platform governance.
- Willingness to work aligned to Pacific Time (PT) business hours and to collaborate with nearshore teams; capable of coordinating across multiple sites/time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare domain experience (clinical data, EMR integrations) and ability to translate business needs into compliant platform solutions.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Power Platform Administrator, Power BI, or related Microsoft certifications) or equivalent hands-on credentials.
- Experience with data governance programs, privacy-by-design principles, and audit/compliance reporting.
