Roles & Responsibilities

  • 4-8 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, including at a mid- to large-sized law firm
  • Juris Doctor and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state
  • Experience with solar/wind ground leases and/or wireless leases is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship; proficient with technology and remote work

Job description

THE COMPANY:

Unison Infrastructure is one of the leading real estate investment companies in renewable energy and digital infrastructure. We acquire real estate assets in the United States and Europe which host critical infrastructure such as wind and solar energy projects, communication towers, wireless sites, and enterprise data centers. Funded in partnership with a global investment house with over $125B in assets under management, Unison is growing rapidly in its existing verticals and expanding into new markets.


The Team

We seek a real estate attorney with demonstrated success in executing business strategy, accelerating a pipeline of transactions to closing, and exercising sound judgment to assess and manage portfolio risk.  The attorney will interact regularly with team members from senior management, origination, pricing, and property management, while working remotely from their home office.


The Job
  • Leading efforts to support the origination and closing of real estate assets in the United States. 
    • Managing a pipeline of deals across the United States and facilitating dialogue between pricing, origination, legal, and the management team.
    • Negotiating and drafting documents for commercial real estate transactions.
    • Conducting due diligence activities and underwriting assets for lease terms, projected cash flow, and facility information.
    • Advising on strategic transactions and commercial matters

    Requirements

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 4-8 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, including at mid to large-sized law firm, is required.
    • Experience with solar/wind ground leases and/or wireless leases is a plus.
    • Fluent with technology and remote work.
    • Juris Doctor and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
    •  

      Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.
