Location: Hybrid Remote-Hanscom AFB, MA 
 
The Cloud Security Analyst II conducts risk assessments and provides recommendations for application design for cloud-based solutions. The analyst analyzes and defines security requirements within a cloud environment and supports developing solutions that meet cloud network security requirements, including integration and implementation of network security solutions.  This role performs vulnerability and risk analyses of cloud infrastructure and tenant applications throughout all phases of the system development lifecycle (SDLC) and acts as a technical point of escalation for cybersecurity issues.  Applies cybersecurity standards, principles, and technical knowledge to address moderately complex security challenges and support the secure operation of enterprise and cloud-based systems. 
 
The proposed salary range for this position is $85,000-$105,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments for cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services 

    • Analyze and define security requirements within cloud environments to support secure system architecture and operations 

    • Support development, integration, and implementation of cloud network security solutions 

    • Perform vulnerability and risk analyses of cloud infrastructure and tenant applications throughout the system development lifecycle 

    • Monitor and analyze cybersecurity events within enterprise and cloud environments 

    • Assist with vulnerability scanning and coordinate system access approvals for security assessments 

    • Evaluate system security controls to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards such as NIST SP 800-53 

    • Document security findings and support development of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for identified vulnerabilities 

    • Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation including system security plans, procedures, and assessment reports 

    • Collaborate with development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure security controls are integrated throughout the system lifecycle 

    • Provide technical support and guidance to program teams on cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies 

    • Act as a technical escalation point for cybersecurity issues affecting cloud systems and applications 

    • Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded 

    • Identify and forward to your leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area 

    • Participate in growth efforts as requested 

    • Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded to the customer's satisfaction 

    • Complete personal PDP and attend staff meetings and Storytime (with the camera on) 

    • Build productive and positive professional relationships with clients within your program 

    • Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements 

    • Perform other related duties as assigned 


  • KEY QUALIFICATIONS

    Clearance: Active Secret Clearance 
    Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or cloud security roles. 

    • Experienced in the application of cybersecurity standards, principles, and theories 

    • Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity 

    • Familiarity with security frameworks, including NIST SP 800-53 

    • Understanding of security testing, risk assessments, and vulnerability management 

    • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification 

    • At least one cloud certification  


    PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience supporting cybersecurity in AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments 

    • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and modern cloud security practices 

    • Experience with vulnerability management tools and security assessment platforms 

    • Familiarity with secure system development lifecycle (SDLC) practices 

    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
