We're seeking a passionate and curious individual to join our team as a Junior Technical Underwriter. Our mission is to provide risk management solutions for clients in the crypto and AI industries, helping them protect against risks related to asset custody, asset transfers, high-performance computing hardware, securing physical infrastructure and power supply, and more.
The Role
As a Junior Technical Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team's efforts in assessing, analyzing and evaluating risks in the web3 ecosystem. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of crypto risk management, insurance risk assessment and pricing practices, and startup operations, all while building a valuable network within both the crypto ecosystem and the traditional insurance industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct research on technologies related to cryptocurrency risks, including hardware, software, and smart contract design, and market trends Assist in the analysis and evaluation of crypto-related risks for enterprise clients of all kinds, including many of the world’s leading custodians, exchanges, and miners Support the underwriting process by gathering and interpreting relevant data, with the expectation to develop the skillset needed to lead an underwriting process independently within one year of being hired Contribute to business development initiatives and client-facing materials Support cross-functional teams to develop and refine underwriting methodologies, including data collection, risks assessment, and risk pricingConduct research on the latest developments in cryptocurrency, AI and crypto mining infrastructure, cyber-security, and adjacent risk vectorsIdeal Candidate Profile0-2 years of professional experience Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for technical fields like Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and/or Risk Management Strong interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Basic understanding of risk management concepts Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced startup environmentWhat We OfferOpportunity to work at the forefront of crypto security, risk assessment and mitigation, and insuranceComprehensive training in crypto risk management and insurance industry practicesExposure to rapidly growing startup operations and cultureNetworking opportunities within the cryptocurrency ecosystem, including by attending industry conferences and partner development eventsCompetitive salary ($75,000 - $120,000) and excellent benefitsPotential for growth and advancement within the companyA merit-based and ultra high-performance company cultureIf you're passionate about cryptocurrency, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to a cutting-edge startup, we want to hear from you!
