At Enza Zaden, we are an independent, family-owned vegetable breeding company working to create the vegetables of tomorrow. With more than 2,000 passionate colleagues worldwide, we’re driven by a mission that matters: ensuring people everywhere have access to healthy, diverse vegetables.

As a Senior Regional Production Specialist, you play a critical role in that mission. You’ll lead seed productions across multiple regions in the United States and Canada. Ensuring the supply of high‑quality seeds, on time, at the right cost, and with world‑class reliability.

This is a role for someone who thrives in the field, builds strong partnerships, and brings strategic thinking to complex agricultural production. If you’re motivated by responsibility, collaboration, and global impact, this is where your expertise will truly make a difference.

What You Will Do

Lead Regional Seed Production Excellence

  • Oversee production performance through consistent monitoring, field inspections, and reporting.
  • Ensure producers follow Enza Zaden protocols—including quality, quantity, pricing, and IP security.
  • Manage operational risks and ensure full compliance with production standards.
  • Contribute to supplier evaluations, negotiations, and settlements.

Bring Technical Expertise to the Field

  • Provide in‑depth knowledge of Enza Zaden genetics to production partners.
  • Guide direct growers through seed production processes to achieve optimal quality and efficiency.

Be a Key International Team Player

  • Offer regional insights to support tactical production plans and planning parameters.
  • Collaborate with global and regional Crop Production teams, sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement.
  • Support producibility and R&D trial setup and contribute to strategic production initiatives.

Strengthen the Production Ecosystem

  • Build and maintain a strong network of suppliers, labs, and authorities.
  • Keep up-to-date on crop-specific agronomics and local production developments.
  • Support logistics, quality assurance, accounting, import/export, trade compliance, and other operational areas as needed.

Lead Locally, Influence Globally

  • Prepare and manage regional budgets.
  • Ensure awareness and adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Represent Enza Zaden within the region with professionalism and deep crop expertise.

What You Bring

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in agriculture: seed production, plant sciences, agronomy, agricultural engineering, or supply chain.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience in seed production or seed supply chain.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong collaborative mindset and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work with complex problems and large data sets.
  • Proficiency with Excel, ERP systems, and planning tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English and local language.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work under time pressure and handle long-distance travel up to 50% annually.
  • Must be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Field work required, including occasional long hours and exposure to heat/weather during key periods.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated starting salary: $125,000 – $140,000 (based on experience, skills, and location).
  • Eligibility for annual bonus program
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including:
    • Medical, dental, and vision
    • Life insurance and disability coverage
    • 401(k) with employer match
    • Paid personal time off and volunteer time off
    • Monthly fitness reimbursement
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
