  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in project management, health or science discipline with experience in clinical R&D or a highly scientific environment

  • Manage stakeholder communications and collaborate with Business Partners, EBIS, IT and Finance following standard PPM processes; ensure data accuracy in Portfolio and Project Management Systems
  • Deliver regular updates and insights to departmental and leadership teams, identify roadblocks and propose solutions
  • Lead, manage and develop high-functioning project teams to enable project delivery for stakeholders; may lead one or more projects of varying complexity

Clinical Project and Portfolio Manager

We are currently seeking a Project and Portfolio Project manager at ICON Plc to join our diverse and dynamic team.

What you will be doing:

  • This position will primarily support the Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) team in all aspects of Project and Portfolio planning, execution and reporting (resources, financials, project health). 

  • Familiar and comfortable with Project Management - principles, systems, software, cost analysis and resourcing algorithms.

  • Managing stakeholders’ communication and working with Business Partners, EBIS, IT and Finance following the standard Project Portfolio Management processes and associated infrastructure (maintaining data accuracy within the Portfolio & Project Management Systems)

  • Deliver regular updates and insights to the departmental and GD leadership team of the status of projects/initiatives, highlighting operational or technical roadblocks and proposing potential solutions that will assist in removing same.

  • Lead, manage and develop high functioning diverse project teams to enable the assigned Project delivery for our stakeholders (a minimum of 3 years of relevant

  • experience leading individuals and teams with a proven track record of delivering projects is required)

  • May be leading one or more than one project of low to moderate complexity or one project of high complexity. 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in project management, Health or Science

  • discipline with experience working clinical R&D or highly scientific environment 

  • 3-5 years relevant project management work experience required (other relevant

  • experiences and skills may be considered if in project leadership function within

  • technology or Pharmaceutical /Healthcare working at the interface between

  • systems and business)

  • Experience working in highly diverse teams within clinical research; cross-functional, global, multi-regional.

  • Excellent Project management skills (waterfall and agile methodologies at least 3- 5 years practical experience)

  • Advanced Microsoft Office and MS Project skills including the ability to manipulate and analyze data

  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication. 

  • Ability to work in global environment organizing and leading team collaborative work output and present information to the core team as well as executive stakeholders
