What you'll do:
You will be part of a global engineering team that caters to learning needs for all associates across the globe at Walmart. The team leverages/implements standard modules as well as builds custom developments that integrate with several systems meant for associate learning related solutions. The solutions developed could potentially enable millions of users achieve efficiency in their day-to-day processes and thus enable massive cost savings for Walmart.
Engage with Product Owners to understand their priorities and deliver as per requirements.
Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
Involve in design and technical feasibility discussions, will work with engineering & user experience teams to create high level and low-level designs.
Focus on reusability, frameworks, patterns and configurations tools for faster development and deployment cycles.
Implementing solutions by applying strong technical skills, build enhanced processes and overcome technical challenges in support of strategic initiatives.
Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting quality, speed, innovation and create impact.
Supporting other team members & guiding on best practices.
Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.
What will you bring
Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
Min. 3+ years’ experience in design and development of highly scalable applications and platform development in product-based companies or R&D divisions.
Hands-on Full stack engineer with experience on these technologies – Java/J2EE, Python, Java Script , React & NodeJS
1-2 years of experience in building GraphQL APIs and using Apollo Client
Experience in building Microservices, ability to build GraphQL/REST services using Java, Spring Boot or NodeJS & GraphQL
Knowledge on Cloud Architecture, Microservices Architecture, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Knowledge on event-based system processing such as Kafka.
Working knowledge of SQL/No-SQL and database technologies (DB2, MongoDB).
CI/CD Automation exposure with tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins & Azure DevOps.
Well versed with Testing frameworks like Junit, Mocha, TestNG & Selenium.
Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps will be added advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills – including facilitation and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
