Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer support, counseling, or social services role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations. Empathy and understanding towards individuals experiencing trauma. Proficiency in using customer support software and databases. Experience working with victims of violence or in a crisis intervention setting is highly desirable.

Core responsibilities:

Offer empathetic listening and emotional support to victims of violence via phone, email, and chat. Assess the immediate needs and concerns of individuals and provide appropriate responses. Provide accurate information about available services, programs, and resources. Assist individuals in navigating and accessing community resources, including legal, medical, and counseling services. Maintain detailed and confidential records of interactions with individuals. Follow up with individuals to ensure they have received the necessary support and services. Recognize and respond to crisis situations, providing immediate assistance and referrals to appropriate services. Coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
