Roles & Responsibilities

Experience in construction cost estimation for repairs or rebuilds, preferably in disaster recovery contexts.
Proficiency with Xactimate or other industry-standard estimating software.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and documentation requirements for cost estimates.
Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with contractors, volunteer groups, and assist vulnerable populations (elderly, disabled, veterans).

Requirements:

Review and prepare detailed cost estimates for repairs and/or rebuilds of disaster survivors’ primary residences.
Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and utilize Xactimate to provide accurate, timely, and transparent documentation.
Coordinate with contractors and volunteer labor groups to ensure appropriate sequencing of repairs.
Assist elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and disabled veterans in planning and executing repairs; on-site work is required as work-from-home options are not available.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Construction Cost Analyst works closely with Disaster Case Managers to review and prepare detailed cost estimates for repairs and/or rebuilds of disaster survivors’ primary residences. Estimates are used to support client recovery plans and resource applications. The Analyst ensures that all estimates comply with industry standards and utilizes advanced software such as Xactimate to provide accurate, timely, and transparent documentation. The role may also coordinate with contractors and volunteer labor groups to ensure appropriate sequencing of repairs, with special attention to assisting elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and disabled Veterans.
