Roles & Responsibilities

  • Active RN license in a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) state with eligibility for licensure in all U.S. states (preferably in CST or MST time zones)
  • 2+ years of experience managing nurses, ideally in a virtual setting
  • 2+ years of clinical experience working with gastroenterology patients and knowledge of GI conditions
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; telehealth or startup experience preferred

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support for licensed nurses; conduct performance reviews and improvement plans; oversee multistate licensing requirements
  • Ensure nursing team adheres to company benchmarks, KPIs, and OKRs; monitor utilization, scheduling, documentation timeliness, and care delivery metrics; set and track goals with nurses
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the nursing team, ensure coverage and workflow adherence; identify barriers and escalate issues; contribute to SOPs and support new initiatives and tools
  • Act as liaison between nurses and leadership; collaborate with training, quality, and clinical teams; communicate policy and program changes; allocate 10-15% of time to direct patient care as a player-coach

Job description

Salvo Health is seeking a Care Manager Supervisor (RN) that oversees the daily operations of the care navigation team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare quality and documentation standards. This role involves supervising care managers, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes.

What You Will Do:
  • People Management & Team Leadership
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support for licensed nurses
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance check-ins, and annual reviews
  • Address performance concerns and implement improvement plans as needed
  • Oversee and manage multistate licensing requirements for licensed nurses

  • Performance Management & OKR Alignment
  • Ensure nursing team adherence to company benchmarks, KPIs, and OKRs
  • Monitor utilization, scheduling, documentation timeliness, and care delivery metrics
  • Communicate performance expectations clearly and consistently
  • Partner with nurses to set individual goals aligned with team and company objectives
  • Track progress toward goals and support course correction when needed
  • Collaborate with clinical and clinical ops leadership on necessary training to ensure nursing team adherence to workflow and care best practices

  • Operational & Workflow Oversight
  • Support day-to-day operations of the nursing team, including coverage and workflow adherence
  • Identify barriers to team performance and escalate operational issues as appropriate
  • Contribute to the development of SOPs in partnership with operational and clinical counterparts (e.g., clinical operations, RD Supervisor) to create replicable and efficient care team processes in support of business goals
  • Support implementation of new initiatives, tools, and workflows

  • Serve as a liaison between nurses and leadership, sharing feedback and insights
  • Partner with training, quality, and clinical teams to reinforce expectations
  • Support team communication during changes to policies, benchmarks, or programs
  • Be a player coach: spend 10-15% of your time seeing patients and the remainder of your time managing the team

  • Qualifications
  • Active RN license in a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) state and eligible for licensure in all U.S. states. Preferably resides in CST or MST time zones.
  •  2+ years of experience managing nurses, ideally in a virtual setting.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience working with gastroenterology patients, with a strong interest and knowledge of GI conditions is preferred
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in telehealth or startups preferred.
