Job description

The Shop Mechanic is responsible for completing tear downs and repair of equipment during the day to day activities in the shop

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tear down, inspect, diagnose and repair Rental equipment.
Maintain proper and accurate paperwork including completion of inspection documentation
Follow documented procedures and maintain a high degree of quality
Perform housekeeping, organization, and maintenance of work area and tools
Painting and sandblasting of product
Perform inspection of products using inspection equipment applicable to the task
In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
Function as a team member and support other teams
Ensure company policies are followed
Repair Diesel engines and pumps. repair trailer lighting
Mechanic experience required.
Employee must supply own tools and toolbox.
Employee must be available on call 24hrs for 3 weeks a month.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or equivalent work experience
Mechanical Aptitude that includes but not limited to, drills, grinders, and other shop tools
Ability to use, read and interpret a tape measure
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Organized; Detail-Oriented
Ability to multi-task
Basic computer/laptop skills
Must be able to physically lift up to 40 lbs.
Must have current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times.
