Job Description :

Role Summary:

- The architect is expected to lead a team of Full stack Platform Engineers (staffed separately) in a technical lead capacity, setting direction, making architectural decisions, and guiding implementation.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position with a strong emphasis on architecture, integration design, and stakeholder communication.

A critical responsibility is designing and overseeing the China CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) solution. Since Auth0 is not supported in mainland China, the architect must evaluate and integrate a China-compatible identity provider, with Authing or Alibaba IDaaS as preferred options, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with WSA's global identity architecture.

Architecture & Technical Leadership :

- Proven experience as a solution or platform architect in cloud-native environments Ability to define and document technical direction through Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) Experience translating global technical strategies into region-specific implementations Strong understanding of system integration patterns, API design, and distributed systems Track record of leading technical teams without formal management authority Identity & Access Management (CIAM) :

- Deep understanding of CIAM concepts: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, federation, SSO Experience with China-compatible identity providers, preferably Authing or Alibaba IDaaS Ability to design identity architectures that bridge China-local and global identity systems Understanding of Auth0 (or similar global IDP) to ensure compatibility with WSA's existing setup Knowledge of Chinese data residency and privacy regulations affecting identity management Cloud Infrastructure & Kubernetes :

- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (ideally 21Vianet) and Alibaba Cloud Deep Kubernetes knowledge: architecture, networking, security, multi-cluster patterns Infrastructure-as-code proficiency (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar) Understanding of China-specific cloud constraints (ICP, Great Firewall, data sovereignty) Application Architecture:

- Familiarity with C#/.NET backend architecture ” able to review, assess, and guide decisions Understanding of React frontend architecture for the online fitting application Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and deployment strategies Knowledge of monitoring and observability architecture (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor) Communication & Collaboration:

- Excellent written and verbal English for regular communication with HQ R&D teams Ability to produce clear technical documentation, design proposals, and architecture diagrams Experience working across time zones and cultures with distributed engineering teams Comfortable presenting technical concepts to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders Languages Required :

- Mandarin (native or fluent), English (fluent) The following certifications are preferred but not mandatory: Microsoft Azure: AZ-305 (Solutions Architect), AZ-500 (Security) Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Alibaba Cloud certifications (bonus) Identity-related certifications (e.g., Okta, Auth0, or equivalent)
