Job Summary:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a significant role in the development, automation, and security across our diverse company portfolio. We presently use a diverse number of systems like Chef, GitLab, GitLab-CI, Terraform, and Kubernetes to automate the testing and delivery of both our Windows and Linux based hosted applications, with plans to consolidate on a standard set of tools leveraging GitLab-CI and Kubernetes where possible. The Senior DevOps Engineer will have an excellent understanding of full-stack application development, testing, security, and continuous integration; a passion for security; and extensive experience working in an agile software development environment. #India
What Your Impact Will Look Like:
- Support the software development process by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, automating delivery, and implementing testing
- Technical leadership for small to medium-sized projects
- Escalation support for the SRE team
- Provisioning and maintenance of systems, load balancer configs, firewall rules, databases, and other automation-driven
- Automate CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy our software
- Work towards implementing platform stability and cost-effective practices.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application related issues.
- Ability of independent decision-making, stakeholder management
- Should execute any concept to production independently or with very minimum guidance from Architect/Manager
You Will Love This Job If You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or relevant experience
- 6+ years Software Engineering or Operations support
- Strong hold in Linux administration
- Very strong proficiency in diagnosing and remediating complex technical issues
- Expert-level understanding of cloud hosting infrastructure, preferably Cloud
- Very strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm Chart.
- Expert in designing and implementing infrastructure using IAC, Terraform.
- Very strong experience with observability framework (Elastic) preferred
- Very strong with continuous integration/continuous deployment concepts, primarily GitLab.
- Good understanding of cloud networking concepts.
- Very strong understanding of source code management, GitLab preferred.
- Expert in containerization concepts.
- Strong proficiency in diagnosing and remediating complex technical issues
- Effective communication skills for working across support and engineering departments
- Passion for security and identifying opportunities to improve security and testing
- Well versed with using AI/ML in coding and troubleshooting for DevOps tasks
- Should have executed at least one project in improving DevOps productivity leveraging AI/ML.
