About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with strong reconciliation and month-end close experience to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate has worked in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment, thrives in a fast-paced organization, and is comfortable improving financial processes and supporting automation initiatives.

This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Assist in monthly revenue reports and entries.

• Maintain accounting records for a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

• Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements within the accounting function.

• Maintain strong internal controls and proper documentation for audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.

• Proven experience working in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

• Hands-on experience with month-end close processes.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with US sales tax compliance.

• Experience with Sage Intacct.

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.

Interview Process

After submitting your application, we conduct a thorough review which typically takes 3 to 5 days, but may occasionally take longer due to the volume of applications received. If we see a potential fit, we proceed with the following steps:

• Recruiter Screening (40 minutes)

• First Interview (60 minutes)

• Final Interview (40 minutes)

As part of the interview process, we will ask to complete a short Excel-based accounting assessment (approximately 5–10 minutes) involving 3–4 brief scenarios where we will ask you to record the appropriate journal entries.
