Senior Developer

The Senior Developer DevOps Specialist will engage in an advisory, coaching and mentoring role with a cross-functional team engaged in the creation and maintenance of fully automated DevOps development, testing and production environments, including advising, coaching and mentoring on appropriate technologies and methodologies for application development, automated build and testing.

Job Duties

• Provides front end web development using modern techniques, frameworks and versions (e.g., HTML5, modern CSS, CSS Modules, PostCSS, Tailwind CSS, Responsive Design).
• Provides back-end web development using open source web programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Flask, Node.js).
• Uses modern development approaches and languages, including Vue 3, Nuxt 3/4, TypeScript, and contemporary build tools such as Vite.
• Designs and implements RESTful web services and APIs following OpenAPI 3.x.
• Engages in JavaScript and .NET development using modern standards and modularization techniques.
• Architects systems using microservices, containerization, GitOps/IaC, and OpenShift native deployment patterns.
• Builds multi tier web applications using modern programming languages.
• Delivers continuous integration and automated deployment through GitHub Actions, and OpenShift and Google Cloud Pipelines.
• Uses and works in scaled agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Lean).
• Utilizes cloud hosting environments such as OpenShift 4.x and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Provides database design, modeling and development (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Builds and maintains production equivalent staging environments through automated means.
• Works with stakeholders to create user stories, wireframes, and backlog items.
• Communicates technical concepts to a non technical audience.
• Works collaboratively with designers and UX roles to meet user needs

Experience & Skill Requirements

• 5+ Years experience Front-end development using modern techniques (HTML5, Responsive Design, Tailwind CSS, PostCSS).
• 5+ Years experience Back-end web development (Python/Flask, Node.js).
• 5+ Years experience Database design, modeling, and development (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• 3 years experience with Vue.js ecosystem (Vue 3, Nuxt 3/4, TypeScript, Vite).
• 3 years experience withDevOps and CI/CD orchestration (GitHub Actions, Google Cloud Pipelines).
• 3+ Years: Cloud and Container architecture (OpenShift 4.x, GCP, Microservices, GitOps/IaC).
• 3+ Years: API Architecture (RESTful web services, OpenAPI 3.x).
• 3+ Years: Modern .NET development and modularization.
• 3+ Years: Working within Scaled Agile environments (Scrum, Lean).
• Proven Experience: Advisory, coaching, and mentoring of cross-functional teams.
• Proven Experience: Translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and collaborating with UX designers.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($x - x/hourly ). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
