Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prior experience in the HORECA or specialized distribution sector (highly preferred).
  • Proficiency in CRM tools for daily visit tracking and sales opportunity logging; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel and support on-site activities, including industry events, with flexibility to work from home as required.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills to identify and develop high-potential Key FS accounts.

Requirements:

  • Drive sales growth in Malaysia's specialized food service sector by executing targeted sales activities with wholesalers and HORECA clients to achieve established targets and introduce diverse product solutions.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of sector-specific wholesalers and distributors to meet their sales KPIs; oversee the full commercial cycle (orders, POs, payments, promotions) and onboard new HORECA customers with distributor teams.
  • Identify and develop high-potential Key Food Service accounts and standard customers, present product solutions, provide ongoing support, and handle inquiries/ complaints to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly market reports; monitor KPIs of non-executive staff, conduct OJT, manage customer data in CRM/ERP, and support Marketing with NPD and market intelligence while monitoring credit limits and outstanding payments.

Role Overview

This position is responsible for driving business growth within the specialized food service sector in Malaysia. The successful candidate will execute targeted sales activities by engaging with industry wholesalers and HORECA clients to achieve established commercial targets. The role focuses on expanding market presence through strategic relationship management and the effective introduction of diverse product solutions to high-volume customers.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Authorities

A. Sales Performance & Strategy

  • Propose and execute tactical plans to ensure the achievement of assigned sales targets.

  • Drive effective market introduction and adoption strategies for new product launches to ensure consistent sales growth.

B. Distributor & Wholesaler Management

  • Manage and monitor the performance of sector-specific wholesalers and distribution partners to ensure they meet their respective sales KPIs.

  • Oversee the full commercial cycle, including proposing orders, obtaining Purchase Orders (PO), managing payment collections, and coordinating sales promotions.

  • Partner with distributor sales teams to identify and onboard new HORECA customers.



C. Key Account Management & Acquisition

  • Identify and develop high-potential Key Food Service (FS) accounts (exceeding 15 cartons) and standard customers (above 2 cartons).

  • Approach potential clients to introduce the organization's product solutions and provide ongoing customer support.

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.



D. Operational & Team Support

  • Monitor the performance and KPIs of non-executive staff members, ensuring adherence to SOPs and accuracy in data submissions.

  • Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) and provide technical support to team members.

  • Manage customer data within the enterprise system, including new account registrations and updates to credit limits or trading terms.



E. Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly business reports for management review.

  • Support the Marketing department in New Product Development (NPD) through market surveys, sensory evaluations, and identifying potential lead customers.

  • Monitor customer financial conditions, including credit limits and outstanding payment statuses.



Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Market Exposure: Prior experience in the HORECA or specialized distribution sector is highly preferred.


  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools for daily visit tracking and sales opportunity logging; experience with enterprise resource planning systems is a significant advantage.

  • Flexibility: This role involves a mix of on-site activities (field visits), office-based reporting, and the flexibility to work from home as required.


  • Event Participation: Ability to support industry events, including workshops, product samplings, roadshows, and exhibitions.
