What you can expect

You will design and maintain a highly available SIP network that powers Zoom Phone's global voice infrastructure. Working with carrier partners and internal teams, you will configure Session Border Controllers and optimize routing for premium call quality. Your work will directly impact millions of users by ensuring reliable, resilient telephony services across diverse regulatory environments.

About the Team

We deliver edge voice infrastructure for Zoom's products and integrations. Our team maintains SBC components, carrier interconnections, and voice integrations. We ensure global telephony reliability and quality for Zoom Phone customers.

What we’re looking for

Hold Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, and 5+ years equivalent practical experience.

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of SIP, RTP, RTCP, TLS, SRTP and related VoIP protocols.

  • Apply knowledge of PSTN carrier infrastructure, architecture, and US carrier regulations in production environments.

  • Troubleshoot complex telephony issues using analytical approaches for isolation, triage, and correlation.

  • Collaborate with global carrier partners to deliver high-quality voice services and resolve technical challenges.

  • Have the ability to collaborate with the US team. Ensuring sufficient overlap for effective coordination.

  • Configure and manage carrier-grade SBCs and telephony equipment, particularly Ribbon/Sonus products.

  • Implement automation solutions and CI/CD pipelines for voice infrastructure deployments.

  • Deploy and manage voice services in public cloud environments, especially Kubernetes-based platforms.
