Job description

This is a remote position.

Our client is looking for a SEO Specialist to manage and execute SEO strategies across multiple client accounts. This role focuses on improving organic visibility, optimizing website performance, and transforming SEO insights into actionable strategies that support business growth.

They operate in the digital marketing and media industry and have expanded their client impact in recent years by helping businesses strengthen their online presence and digital performance through strategic marketing initiatives.

The SEO Specialist will oversee the full lifecycle of SEO initiatives, including research, strategy development, implementation, performance tracking, and reporting. The role requires someone who can balance following structured processes while also taking initiative to identify opportunities for improvement. This person will collaborate closely with the Head of Development and the VP of Operations to align technical improvements, content strategy, and analytics insights with client objectives. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing multiple client projects, and translating SEO data into clear strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies aligned with client goals and industry trends.

  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify ranking and content opportunities.

  • Build SEO roadmaps including technical improvements, content development, and link opportunities.

  • Define and track KPIs such as rankings, organic traffic, engagement, and site performance.

  • Optimize website content including landing pages, service pages, and blog posts.

  • Develop keyword-informed content strategies aligned with search intent.

  • Produce or collaborate on SEO-focused content and integrate structured formats or visual elements to improve engagement.

  • Perform technical SEO audits focusing on site structure, crawlability, indexing, page speed, and Core Web Vitals.

  • Monitor site performance using tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights and other SEO platforms.

  • Configure and maintain reporting dashboards using tools such as Google Analytics 4, Agency Analytics, and Looker Studio.

  • Monitor metrics including keyword rankings, site health, page performance, organic traffic, and engagement.

  • Translate SEO data into clear insights and recommendations for internal teams and client reporting.

  • Recommend improvements to content, keyword targeting, and site structure to improve results.

  • Upload, edit, and optimize website content within CMS platforms such as WordPress.

  • Implement SEO best practices in CMS environments including metadata, internal linking, and content structure.

  • Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles and local listings.

  • Support listing verification and implement local SEO strategies including location-based keywords and citation optimization.

  • Manage multiple client accounts while maintaining quality and timelines.



Requirements

  • 4+ years of SEO experience or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO, content optimization, and keyword research.

  • Experience with SEO tools such as Semrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4.

  • Experience working with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.

  • Ability to build and interpret SEO dashboards and performance reports.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader team.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities.

Qualifications
