Position Summary:
The Territory Sales Director is responsible for leading regional sales strategy and execution across a defined geographic territory within the industrial services sector. This role focuses on revenue growth, strategic account development, team leadership, and customer relationship management. The Directorwill drive high-performance sales initiatives, ensure alignment with business goals, and serve as a key contributor to regional and national revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Territory Sales Managers and Account Executives.
- Build strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Oversee regional forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Identify and pursue high-value sales opportunities in target markets (e.g., oil & gas, power generation, manufacturing, infrastructure).
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery of service excellence.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
- Represent the company at regional and national industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Ensure compliance with pricing, contract terms, safety, and operational standards in all sales activities.
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of industrial service offerings (e.g., NDT, rope access, mechanical integrity, inspection, maintenance).
- Deep knowledge of sales strategy, account management, and customer segmentation in B2B settings.
- Awareness of regulatory, safety, and environmental issues relevant to industrial service delivery
- Exceptional leadership and coaching skills to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Advanced strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Skilled in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory (up to 50%).
- Ability to manage a large, dynamic territory with diverse customer needs and competitive pressures.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Capacity to drive change, manage complexity, and make data-driven decisions.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or related field (required); MBA or advanced degree (preferred).
- 8–10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in industrial services or a related industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and growing market share.
- Experience managing large teams across multi-state or regional territories.

Working Conditions:
- Office environment with limited physical effort, continuous mental effort, and frequent complex requests for assistance.
- Ability to travel (around 20% of the time)
PHYSIC AL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS:
- Ability to work long hours during travel or customer engagements.
- Ability to conduct site visits, requiring walking on uneven surfaces and wearing required PPE when necessary.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and operate a laptop and phone for daily communication and reporting.
