Roles & Responsibilities

  • 6-10 years of brand marketing experience in the CPG industry with a track record of launching successful innovations.
  • Proven experience leading projects through stage gates from inception to launch.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using syndicated/shopping data (e.g., IRI Unify, Target POL) and translating data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and storytelling, with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; MBA is a plus, but not required.

Requirements:

  • Champion the development of bold ideas to drive growth and deliver against business and brand strategies; develop short- and long-term innovations for VMS segments.
  • Manage multiple innovations across segments, build business cases, and track innovation progress through gates.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (CMI, creative, product, sales, legal/regulatory) to craft best-in-class innovations and innovation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Insights and trend experts to translate consumer learnings into actionable business initiatives and help create brand/category stories for strategic customers.

Job description

THE ROLE: BRAND MANAGER (CONTRACT)
Reporting to the Brand Director of Innovation, the Brand Manager Consultant will serve as a key member of the Innovation team to craft disruptive innovation in the supplements space and beyond. You will be responsible for not only bringing blue sky thinking to the team on white spaces and innovation ideas, you will also be responsible to moving innovations through the gate process and landing them with our key retail partners. Your role is to maximize innovation led growth through disruptive value propositions and get strong retailer buy in. You will also partner closely with the Senior Brand Manager to ensure the OLLY 3+ year roadmap and pipeline delivers on the brand strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion the development of bold ideas to drive growth and deliver against the business and brandstrategies.
  • With support of the Brand Innovation Director, and in collaboration with the Brand team, develop theshort and long term innovations for VMS segments 
  • Manage multiple innovations across segments and associated projects along with business case buildand innovation tracking
  • Parter closely with CMI, creative, product, sales, legal/regulatory and other cross functional teams tocraft best in class new innovations and innovation strategies. 
  • Partner with Insights and trend experts to translate consumer learnings and trends into actionablebusiness initiatives
  • Help create brand and category stories for strategic customers 

THE CANDIDATE
You are a successful marketer with ~6-10 years experience in brand in the CPG industry. You’re not afraid to dive into the data, interpreting numbers and translating them into actionable insights. You are a strategic blue sky thinker who has proven experience in launching successful innovations, is a collaborative leader and never afraid to roll up your sleeves to do whatever is necessary to execute the plans.

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proven experience leading projects through stage gates from inception to launch to deliver winning innovation 
  • Provide clear direction and partnership to multiple cross-functional efforts, ensuring that complex issues, priorities andrequirements are considered and integrated in decision-making.
  • An understanding of how to read and manage the P&L, build trade stories and deliver innovations that are fit for retail  
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with syndicated and shopper data such as IRI Unify, Target POL, etc.
  • Ability to change information into insights for actionable growth
  • Strong ability in presentation development and storytelling in Powerpoint and analysis in Excel
  • Experience in foods, nutritional space a plus, but not required
  • MBA a plus, but not required
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic, deadline driven environment

LOCATION: Remote

HOURS: Full Time (40 hours a week), 6-12 months, Contract
