  • Defect Intake Reconciliation: Manage daily intake of defects across healthcare IT systems; reconcile defect details across teams and tools for accuracy; identify mismatches or gaps in classification, source, and ownership
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Partner with QA teams, Client QA, Product, Configuration, and Engineering; ensure defects route to correct workflows (e.g., Source vs. HRP); maintain and enforce understanding of workflow differences
  • Tracking and Reporting: Maintain real-time visibility into defect aging, priority, and status; develop and distribute defect reports for leadership and stakeholders; flag blockers, trends, and systemic issues for escalation
  • Process Governance: Ensure adherence to defect processes and support continued improvements; help define and document workflows, standards, and data quality checks

Job description


Razor is seeking a Defect Manager/QA Lead to manage, reconcile, and streamline defect data across our NY‐based commercial healthcare provider's PayDoc Program environments. This 100% remote role ensures defect tracking, ownership, and remediation remain accurate and consistent across varying product, configuration, Source, and HRP defect workflows. The Defect Manager will collaborate closely with IT QA, Client QA, business stakeholders, and system owners to validate defect information, monitor statuses, and enforce proper routing.

Qualifications
  • Experience in defect coordination, QA support, or software delivery oversight
  • Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management and tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience working across multiple teams with varied workflows
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non‐technical groups
  • High attention to detail with ability to manage high volumes of defect data
  • Strong organizational and follow‐through skills
Desired Skills
  • Background in healthcare payer or claims systems
  • Exposure to HealthEdge, Source, HRP, or related platforms
  • Experience supporting integration programs or large‐scale system modernization
