Job Summary We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Structural Steel Installers to join our team. This position requires 100% travel to job sites across the country. The ideal candidate will have experience of erecting structural steel frameworks, (ex. Structural grids in Telecom and Data center environments), reading blueprints, and working at heights in manlifts in commercial and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities · Install, position, and secure non welded structural steel beams, columns, girders, and other components (Typically this is Unistrut or Hilti strut.) · Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and erection plans · Align and bolt steel components using hand and power tools · Perform rigging and signaling for crane operations · Connect steel components using bolts or other fastening methods · Ensure proper alignment and leveling of structural elements · Follow OSHA and company safety regulations at all times · Inspect materials and equipment before use · Work collaboratively with crew members, foremen, and project managers
Qualifications · Minimum 2+ years of structural steel installation experience preferred · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings · Experience working at heights in man lifts, typically 20-30 feet high. (required) · OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred · Ability to operate lifts, forklifts, and rigging equipment · Strong understanding of job-site safety protocols · Valid driver’s license required · Must be willing and able to travel 100% of the time
Physical Requirements · Ability to lift 40+ lbs regularly · Ability to work at heights of 20+ feet · Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions · Ability to stand, climb, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments
Travel Requirements · 100% travel required · Projects may last several weeks to several months · Per diem and lodging provided · Overtime opportunities available
