POSITION SUMMARY:

DuBois Chemicals is looking for a high performing Service Technician to support one of our strategic customers at their site. Responsible for physically conducting the material handling requirements associated with a fluid management program at an industrial manufacturer (our customer). Successful candidates will be expected to work well within a team and ensure all requested fluid pump-outs, additions and mechanical checks are routinely performed and reported. Service Technician must follow the safety regulations of the customer and company. Demonstrate the company’s core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity & ethics, lean & safety, and passion to succeed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure required fluid performance measurements are performed and recorded.
  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment and systems, ensuring they function properly.
  • Draw fluid system samples, perform chemistry tests, and diagnose routine maintenance/updates.
  • Interact daily with operators and appropriate management personnel within customer location.
  • Support the collection of data for fluid consumption, performance documentation, and reporting.
  • Notify Sales Representative/Account Manager and customer of abnormal fluid conditions and mechanical problems.
  • Perform procedures for fluid additions and system cleanouts.
  • Ensure system control plans are followed and sump pump-out schedules are following.
  • Review and maximize the performance of recycling efforts.
  • Support continuous improvement projects set by customers and company.
  • Ensure mechanical aspects of fluid systems are operating efficiently.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 1+ years of related service experience/training in fluid systems and chemical industry.
  • Proficient in performing technical/mechanical on-site testing.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance. instructions, procedure manuals, and write routine reports/correspondences.
  • Excellent communication (oral or written) and interpersonal to interact with customers.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and solve practical problems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand basic chemical concepts.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to handle moderate to considerable physical activity.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
