Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a backend developer
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Express
  • Experience with unit testing using Jest or Mocha
  • Experience with databases (Redis, PostgreSQL) and AWS cloud services (Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS, EventBridge, S3)

Requirements:

  • Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Node.js/Express (preferably with TypeScript)
  • Write and execute unit/integration tests with Jest or Mocha and ensure code quality
  • Integrate with databases (Redis, PostgreSQL) and cloud services (AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS, EventBridge, S3) and participate in microservices architecture
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment with a global team to deliver features for a North American client while upholding clean architecture principles

Job description

We are Tekton Labs, a technology consulting and software development company founded in Silicon Valley, with offices in Perú, Mexico, and the United States. With 16 years of experience designing and developing innovative solutions, we help businesses (and especially people!) achieve their goals. As we continue to grow, so do our challenges. To tackle them, we’re looking to add a Back-End Engineer to our team.

What we are looking for?

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years as a back-end developer.

Technologies:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, and Express
  • Unit testing with Jest o Mocka. Nice to have: Cypress
  • Express, Nest, KOA for micro services(notions, not mandatory)
  • BBDD: Redis, Postgress, SQL
  • Cloud: AWS Services: Lambdas funtions, Cloud Watch, SQS, EventBridge, S3
  • Clean Architecture (notions and basic experience)
  • Tools: Jenkins, GIT, Gitlab

Agile Frameworks:

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and best practices.

What We Offer?

Contractor Scheme: Work under a contractor arrangement with competitive compensation tailored to your experience level and location.

  • Mid-Level Developer:
    • Peru: S/ 6.000 per month
    • LATAM (outside Peru): $2,200.00 usd per month
