Job Description

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for Homeowners Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. This role works independently, prioritizing own responsibilities.

National General is seeking an Inside Property Adjuster to join our Oklahoma Claims team!  This position offers the flexibility of primarily working remotely while also conducting occasional in-person inspections to evaluate homeowner property claims. This role requires physical agility, including lifting and carrying equipment, climbing ladders, navigating roofs and varying heights for inspection purposes, and accessing crawl spaces as needed. To best support the assigned territory, the ideal candidate will reside in Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities

• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome

• Demonstrates intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department

• Handles investigation regarding most aspects of homeowner first party claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority

• Recognizes and identifies key components of residential construction and repair

• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills

• Demonstrates a basic understanding of systems and technology used within the company

• Learns how to determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.

* This is a Hybrid position- if a claim is in your area, possible field travel if needed.

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is:

Inside Adjuster Cons I: $53,500 - $77,800

Inside Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 - $82,500

Inside Adjuster Sr Cons I: $65,650 - $104,100

And is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
