Job description

Company: ACES (Autism Comprehensive Educational Services)

Title: Finance Analyst

ACES is a rapidly growing private equity-backed autism services company that is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families impacted with autism or other special needs. We provide comprehensive, professional services to maximize individuals' potential throughout their lifespan.

ACES’ distinguished care is grounded in an industry-leading model of behavioral artistry – which combines the best clinical practice of traditional Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) with humanistic elements that help our clients generalize their skills and gain independence. Serving 80+ markets across 9 states, we are motivated to grow both so that we can serve more clients and close the significant supply gap that currently exists across the United States.

We are committed to attracting and cultivating the very best team members who embody ACES’ values and culture and are passionate about our work. In 2020, ACES partnered with growth equity firm General Atlantic to scale its clinical model and move toward its vision of becoming the household name in America for the highest-quality autism care. Based in an industry with strong tailwinds for growth, ACES is a unique opportunity for the right candidate.

Role Description

At ACES, we are committed to elevating the standards in the treatment of autism.

The Strategic Finance Analyst will support financial analyses that inform company operations and priorities, including initiatives that advance clinical excellence. This role will work closely with members of the Finance and Accounting teams, as well as field operations and other departmental stakeholders, to develop data-driven insights that support efficient and effective delivery of care. As part of a lean, 6-person Finance team, the Analyst will play a key role in preparing financial models, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses used in strategic and operational decision-making. The Analyst will gain exposure across the organization and contribute to projects that help the company scale responsibly and fulfill its clinical mission, while developing a strong foundation in healthcare and strategic finance.

This role will report to the VP of Finance, with close interactions with the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation, maintenance, and refinement of financial analyses that inform strategic and operational decision-making

  • Examples include unit economics analyses, performance tracking, pricing and wage analysis support, de novo modeling assistance, and M&A diligence support

  • Build financial models, data analyses, and recurring reports to support the Strategic Finance Associates, VP of Finance, and CFO

  • Contribute to regular financial reporting and dashboards used by the Finance team and executive leadership to monitor financial trends and operational performance

  • Partner with cross-functional teams across finance, accounting, operations, and clinical leadership to support strategic initiatives and program design

  • Assist regional leaders and Care Teams by providing analytical support that enables effective execution of key clinical and business priorities

  • Participate in cross-functional projects by coordinating analyses, timelines, and outputs to support successful execution, with guidance from senior team members

Why ACES?

Join the ACES movement. 29 years ago, a teacher in her classroom had a vision, that she could not only uniquely improve the quality of life for her students - that she could also build an organization to help others do the same. And that they together could elevate the standards in the treatment of autism, discover new and better ways of providing care and create ripples of positive impact across millions of lives. We aim to be the standard setter and a household name for autism services in America whose growth will solve the current gap in the supply of quality care.

ACES Finance is committed to mentorship and development of its entire team. Dan Thau (CFO) and Dawn Cheng (VP Finance) each have other ten years of experience in investment banking, private equity, and healthcare finance executive roles. As part of the ACES Finance team, you will have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to advance to the highest levels of a finance organization, in a culture committed to mentoring and developing team members throughout its team structure. Specifically, you will develop a “value creation mindset” which will set you up for future success in other private-equity backed (or many other investor-owned) companies in your career.

You can bring your whole self to work as you embody our core values!

Accountability, Collaboration, Flexibility, Fun, Innovation, Passion, Respect, Results, Service, Inclusion

ACES offers our teammates advantages that can’t be found in other workplaces, including:

  • The opportunity to be part of a fast growing company focused on changing the future of behavioral therapy

  • Collaborative, supportive, agile and fun culture

  • High levels of responsibility and opportunities for advancement

  • Paid vacation/sick time, retirement options, as well as health, vision, and dental benefits

Why does ACES offer all of these benefits? Because we know what it takes to deliver the highest level of care and our team deserves the best resources to succeed and enjoy their work. In return, we expect the best out of you!
