Master's degree in development studies, economics, public policy, gender studies, or a related field.
Extensive experience delivering GEDSI-focused programs, including women's economic empowerment, disability inclusion, care economy, and inclusive digital ecosystems.
Proven track record in managing donor-funded programs in Southeast Asia and engaging with government agencies, development partners, and civil society.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and capacity-building skills with the ability to work in a remote, cross-functional environment.

This is a remote position.
MSC is seeking a Manager – Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) to lead and deliver high-quality technical assistance and strategic advisory services across Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on the Philippines. The Manager will oversee program delivery, client engagement, and knowledge leadership to advance women’s economic empowerment, inclusive digital ecosystems, and equitable social and economic systems. The role will support programs across thematic areas including MSME development, care economy, social protection, disability inclusion, and inclusive digital finance, ensuring that gender and inclusion principles are embedded into program design, implementation, and learning. This is a fixed-term staff role for 12 months, supporting a growing portfolio of regional GEDSI and inclusive systems programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Leadership and Technical Delivery
Lead and manage GEDSI-focused projects across sectors such as: Women-led MSME development and entrepreneurship ecosystems; Care economy initiatives, including family-friendly workplace and unpaid care recognition; Inclusive social protection systems and adaptive safety nets; Disability inclusion and accessibility within digital and economic programs; Digital financial inclusion and responsible finance.
Provide technical leadership on gender and disability analysis, inclusive program design, and safeguarding approaches.
Integrate GEDSI considerations into policy advisory, innovation labs, research studies, and implementation support.
Ensure high-quality deliverables, effective risk management, and alignment with donor standards.
2. Client Engagement and Business Development
Contribute to business development by shaping proposals, technical approaches, and concept notes aligned with GEDSI and inclusive economic growth.
Build relationships with government agencies, development partners, private sector actors, and civil society organizations in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
Identify emerging opportunities in MSME development, care economy financing, inclusive social protection, and disability-inclusive innovation.
3. Team Leadership and Capacity Strengthening
Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams across research, advisory, and program delivery functions.
Strengthen internal capacity on GEDSI integration across thematic sectors, including disability-inclusive design and gender-responsive monitoring.
Provide coaching to partners and clients on inclusive approaches to workforce participation, entrepreneurship, and service delivery.
4. Knowledge and Thought Leadership
Lead research outputs, policy notes, and knowledge products related to women’s economic empowerment, inclusive care systems, and social protection innovation.
Contribute to regional thought leadership on gender equality, inclusive digital ecosystems, and equitable economic participation.
Support evidence generation on barriers faced by women entrepreneurs, caregivers, and persons with disabilities in accessing finance and markets.
