Business Performance Controller

We are looking for an experienced Business Performance Controller to join the Investment Group focused on high-risk digital sectors — iGaming, CFD brokerage, betting, and affiliate-driven businesses.
This role represents a key strategic function responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities, monitoring portfolio company performance, and supporting financial decision-making across multiple business models.
The successful candidate will work closely with investment, legal, and operational teams to ensure accurate financial oversight, risk evaluation, and investment attractiveness analysis.

The role is fully remote.

Requirements:

• Experience working with high-risk digital industries such as iGaming, CFD brokerage, betting, fintech, or affiliate marketing businesses.
• Experience working with holding structures, multi-project environments, or investment portfolios.
• Strong understanding of core financial and business KPIs (ROI, profitability, margins, retention, revenue drivers, unit economics, etc.).
• Understanding of analytical documentation, financial reporting frameworks, and back-office operations within high-risk businesses.
• Understanding of affiliate marketing, lead-generation, and revenue-share models, including traffic quality, CPA, rev-share, and lifetime value economics.
• Ability to analyze business performance based on understanding of the drivers and relevant KPIs on acquisition and traffic, funnel and conversion, revenue and unit economics, retention and cohort performance etc.
• Experience analysing investment projects and assessing their financial attractiveness.
• Ability to build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario planning tools.
• Practical experience using data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms) for financial reporting, KPI tracking, and performance analysis.
• Languages proficiency: Ukrainian and/or Russian – fluent/native, English – B1+.

Nice to have:

• Expertise in management accounting, financial control, and reporting, with solid knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 15 (gaming, subscription, affiliate and revenue-share models) and IFRS 9.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio performance management and reporting:

• Monitor financial performance and operational progress of portfolio companies.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and structured reporting from invested projects.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews, including KPI tracking and improvement recommendations.
• Analyse business performance based on key value drivers specific to high-risk and affiliate-driven business models.

Financial planning and control:

• Control budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance of portfolio companies.
• Prepare financial models, budgets, forecasts, and monitor execution against financial plans.
• Support liquidity planning, cash-flow monitoring, and financial control processes.
• Oversee Asset and Liability Management, including multi-currency wallets, client/player balances, PSP and payment aggregator reconciliations

Investment analysis and due diligence:

• Evaluate financial viability and expected returns of potential investment opportunities.
• Participate in financial and operational due diligence processes.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams during investment assessments.
• Identify investment risks and develop mitigation recommendations.
• Prepare detailed investment memos, analytical reports, and financial summaries for stakeholders
