Roles & Responsibilities

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in quality/production environments
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with 5S / ISO 9001 / 8D problem solving

Requirements:

  • Lead factory-wide continuous improvement and influence the QMS through collaboration with key vendor and factory QA personnel; deliver high-quality products against QM KPIs and coach VF QA and factory QA teams
  • Act as SME on projects and SOPs; provide training on assigned topics; support accredited lab testing SOPs to meet Brand standards and international requirements; evaluate new vendors for quality setup and production capability
  • Conduct Factory Process Audits and coach QE/QA and FKR; drive upstream prevention and risk mitigation using risk-based methods; manage and escalate risks to Regional Manager
  • Leverage data analytics to monitor vendor performance, drive continuous improvement in the supply base and internal teams; foster a culture of CI, optimize processes, and ensure cross-functional engagement across Brand, Vendor, and Regional teams

Job description

Key Purpose of the Job:  
 

Lead continuous improvement at the factory through proper quality initiatives, prevention and risk management Must be able to directly influence factory QMS through a close working relationship with key vendor and factory quality personnel.   Be accountable for delivering consistently high-quality product as measured through all QM KPIs/Metrics Act as a coach and mentor for VF QA team as well as all factory QA. 
 

Key Area of Responsibility: 

 

  • Ability to act as SME in projects and SOPs also provide training on assigned topics for associates and factories.  

  • Support and monitor factory accredited lab testing SOP against Brand standards and Industrial/Country requirements 

  • Evaluate new vendors to identify factory quality set up, technical support, and product capability & production capacity. 

  • Support and train VF teams and factories on VCP program execution 

  • To support conducting Factory Process Audit and coaching QE/QA and FKR how to conduct it 

  • To proactively seek for opportunity for upstream prevention management and mitigate risk by using Risk Base program to best allocate resource needed.   

  • Manage and appropriately escalate risks, issues and points of concern to Regional Manager  

  • With the support of data analytics, manage vendor performance and drive continuous improvement within the supply base and within your team  

  • Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement 

  • To continually reviews ways of working, process alignment and team capabilities to optimize efficiencies  

  • To ensure the team are fully aware of their respective roles & responsibilities and that they have the tools to do their job 

  • To ensure there is a high degree of engagement between the team at brand, vendor and regional cross functional teams  

  • Engaged/participate on projects and actively identify, propose new ideas for projects. Create opportunities for the team to be involved in cross brand / cross functional activities

  • Provide active coaching to team members to encourage and foster new knowledge while ensuring VFs values are upheld. 

 

Job Requirements  

Minimum Relevant Experience:    

2-3 years
 

Minimum Academic Requirement:  

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Other Requirements: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint 

  • Good analytical and problem solving skill

  • Knowledge in SPC, CPK and Six Sigma disciplines, FMEA would be advantageous 

  • Sewing, Construction and Factory Operations Knowledge
