Overview

We are looking for a Data / Integration Architect with a background in the insurance industry to support a project focused on data integration and innovation.

This role will contribute to the design and implementation of ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric, integrating data with an existing system called Merlin through already developed APIs. Additionally, the initiative will explore AI-assisted code generation as part of a Proof of Concept (PoC).

The role also places strong emphasis on analytical and discovery work, ensuring a stable backlog and a clear understanding of requirements before engaging engineering teams and leveraging AI capabilities.

Technical Objective and Scope of Work

• Design and build ETL processes, including data ingestion using Microsoft Fabric.

• Integrate ETL outputs with the Merlin system through existing APIs.

• Support a Proof of Concept exploring AI-driven code generation.

• Contribute to analytical work and backlog definition to ensure clear and well-structured tasks before implementation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Architect, Data Architect, or Senior Engineer.

• Background or experience in the insurance industry.

• Experience designing ETL pipelines and data integration processes.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms.

• Experience working with APIs and system integrations.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to structure technical requirements.

• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools or AI PoCs.

• Experience designing data architectures for enterprise environments.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Desire to work in a multidisciplinary and cross-functional team.

Remuneration

Compensation in US dollars as a contractor.

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere.
