Position Summary:
We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead our group of IT specialists in maintaining and improving our software infrastructure. You'll collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and other IT pros in deploying, automating, and managing the software infrastructure. As Senior DevOps engineer you will also be responsible for setting up CI/CD pipelines, monitoring programs, and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architectureImplement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-codeDeploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environmentsSupport and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologiesIterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deploymentsHave on call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering teamIncrease the sophistication of our alerting and escalation mechanismsHelp increase system performance with a focus on high availability and scalabilityPropose, scope, design, and implement various infrastructure architecturesDevelop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoringContinuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvementPerform root cause analysis for production errorsContinue to keep the lights on (day-to-day administration)Skills & Qualifications:BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field12+ years of professional experience as a DevOps/System EngineerExperience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scaleA drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Terraform, Powershell, Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.)Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS)Expertise with Azure, AWS or GCPVersion control system experience (e.g. Git)Working knowledge of databases and SQLExperience implementing CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins)Operational (e.g. HA/Backups)Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Powershell with DSC, Ansible, Chef)Experience with infrastructure-as-codeExperience in managing on-premise Active Directory and Domain ControllerExperience in managing on-premise infrastructureEffective communication skillsProfessional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implicationsProblem-solving attitudeCollaborative team spiritPreferred QualificationsCertified SysOps Administrator, Azure/AWS Certified DevOps EngineerMaster's degree in Computer Science or Software EngineeringExperience with software engineering and customer experienceExperience developing engineering applications for a large corporationWhat can you expect throughout the interview process:

Base Salary
Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in NY region is expected to be as follows:
$160,000 -$180,000
