L2 Support Engineer - Offsite

PFH Technology are currently looking for a L2 Support Engineer to join our growing team. 


Role Overview: 

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled L2 Support Engineer to join our South East based offsite team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting  IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and business continuity.


Location: South East (Waterford/Kilkenny)

Contract Length: 12 Months


Key Responsibilities:
•    Operating a wide range of ITIL-based ICT Service processes, including service requests and faults.  
•    Contribute to the delivery of an effective offsite team to respond to identified needs and ensuring continuity of service.  
•    Day-to-day operation of the National Service Desk system to manage, monitor, review and resolve ICT tickets, including escalation and prioritisation.
•    Maintain and update information held on the National Service Desk ticketing system and resources including Active Directory.
•    Perform life cycle of incident, request and problem management processes.
•    Provide users with technical support, instructions and training on the use of hardware, software, and general IT standards.
•    Image, install, configure and setup hardware, operating systems, peripheral devices and software.
•    Install equipment for data communications networks including hardware, software and data communications equipment.
•    Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair, replace and fix). 
•    Patch, troubleshoot and deal with network connectivity issues with LAN, WAN and mobile connections.
•    Deal with user and account management issues.
•    Assist in the delivery of IT services - e-mail, user set-up, security, access control and remote access.

Candidate Profile:
•    Experience in supporting Helpdesk or Service Desk environments.  
•    Good understanding and knowledge of ICT support requests and faults.
•    Knowledge and experience supporting and configuring Windows platforms, MS Office suite and standard PC applications e.g. Antivirus, Adobe etc.
•    Working knowledge and experience in supporting and configuring various desktop hardware and common Windows applications including MS Office suite, Outlook and Exchange. 
•    Experience in Active Directory node, account access and management.
•    Experience in supporting application, software and system installation, configuration for client and cloud solutions. 
•    Experience in supporting Citrix storefront environment and configuration.  
•    Knowledge and experience of resolving network connectivity and faults, including LAN and remote working configurations and devices.

•    Office 365
•    Citrix, Exchange, Hyper V and VMWare
•    Active Directory


Qualifications
•    Full clean drivers licence is essential
•    IT related degree or relevant qualifications highly desirable
•    Candidates with Microsoft Certifications would prove advantageous
•    Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and phases of project delivery.
•    Excellent communication and documentation skills.
•    Experience with IT governance and security policies.
