Roles & Responsibilities

  • Science degree in Biochemistry, Cell Analysis, Genetics, Molecular Biology or equivalent, with minimum 2-3 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in customer operations/order management within a consumables business.
  • Working knowledge of pricing (implementation, change control, negotiation basics, impact analysis) and familiarity with B2B e-procurement and online store workflows.
  • Fluency in German and English with strong verbal and written communication skills; CRM/ERP proficiency and data-literate, process-oriented mindset.

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative M/F/D within our Cell and Molecular Research Consumables business to cover the DACH market. 

Bring your customer-first mindset and digital commerce savvy to a role that sits at the heart of Agilent’s consumables business. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring their digital interactions, orders, and quotes run smoothly—while partnering with sales to keep deliveries on track and issues resolved fast.

As part of the DACH Inside Sales team the desired candidate will:

  • Support price implementation—apply increases, and when needed, negotiate with tact and data‑driven rationale.
  • Own day‑to‑day e‑commerce operations for B2B connections and our online store - track Agilent online store requests, resolve online shop issues, and administer the electronic catalogue.
  • Drive delivery follow‑up (scheduled ship dates, partial shipments to prevent delays, backorders, and priority lists) and keep customers proactively informed.
  • Handle backorder communications - explain status, set expectations, and de‑escalate when timelines shift.
  • Clear orders for booking - help customers find the correct catalogue numbers and resolve price discrepancies before orders enter the system.
  • Meet sales objectives by driving inbound activities. Proactively collaborate with field and cross Agilent teams to drive a differentiated customer experience.
  • Prepare and manage quotations across defined consumables lines—accurate, timely, and aligned to pricing and contract terms.

Qualifications

  • Science Degree in Biochemistry, Cell Analysis, Genetics, Molecular Biology or equivalent
  • minimum 2-3 years Sales experience
  • Experience in customer operations/order management within a consumables business.
  • Working knowledge of pricing (implementation, change control, and negotiation basics, impact analysis).
  • Familiarity with B2B e‑procurement and online store workflows; comfort collaborating with IT/ops to resolve electronic catalogue or checkout issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and the ability to prioritize across multiple customer requests.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills as well as Interpersonal and Presentation Skills in German and English , additional European languages a plus.
  • Fluency with CRM/ERP tools and spreadsheets; you’re data‑literate and process‑oriented.

This position can be located anywhere in Germany.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
