Safeware’s Training and Service Division is seeking an experienced Trainer/Technician to manage and deliver training and technical service programs supporting private, local, state, and federal agencies.
Job Description
This management position is responsible for leading operations and providing sales support for training and technical services for assigned programs. Training includes teaching, curriculum development, and managing instructors delivering on-site, online, virtual instructor led training (VILT). Technical services include site assessments, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and technology.
Work Location(s)
Remote work from anywhere with connectivity (50%)
Travel to support training programs and/or events (50%)

Manage Training Operations
Develop and maintain training curriculum
Assist marketing by creating content to market Safeware services and expertise including online posts and podcasts
Attend and present at professional conferences/tradeshows
Manage inbound requests for training information and availability
Obtain and maintain certifications/credentials from original equipment manufacturers (OEM) for performing OEM certified training
Coordinate training scheduling including instructor and training resource availability
Coordinate with Safeware customers to determine training needs and arranging needed logistics.
Coordinate required logistics to deliver training courses
Manage training course budgets including expenses and payroll
Teach approximately five days per month including weekends or evenings as needed to match customer shift schedules.
Technical Services
Obtain and certifications/credentials from original equipment manufacturers (OEM) for performing OEM certified service and repairs.
Assess locations for installation of equipment and technology
Manage or perform equipment installations at facilities or in vehicles
Manage or perform maintenance and calibrations on equipment
Conduct assessment and repairs on damaged equipment
Provide training for service technicians
Oversee technical services quality assurance
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong organization skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong training and presentation skills
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines while working independently
Ability to use and learn technology tools including use of Microsoft Office Suite
Flexible schedule including availability for some nights and weekends
Experience in the military, responder, or law enforcement preferred but not required
Experience conducting equipment calibration, maintenance, and repairs.
Experience leading small teams
Experience developing training curriculum
