Roles & Responsibilities

  • Active, unrestricted Colorado license as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in good standing
  • Residency within Colorado and eligibility to provide supervision per state regulatory requirements, including meeting licensing/certification requirements for license-in-process individuals
  • CACREP-based or equivalent supervision criteria for LPCs: 3 years (3000 hours) post-graduate clinical experience and completion of required supervision training or credentials (e.g., CACREP supervision coursework, 6 clock hours of supervision training, ACS certification, or relevant doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision)
  • Active Colorado license with ability to supervise LMFTs or LCSWs as applicable and willingness to meet incident-to credentialing panels within the state

Requirements:

  • Provide supervision to a minimum of six resident clinicians, including weekly group supervision and individual supervision for every 15 clinical hours
  • Maintain a clinical caseload with at least 10 hours of client-facing availability per week (not a supervision-only position) and provide documentation oversight
  • Complete coaching documentation regarding any disciplinary or performance concerns and coach residents on professional and clinical development
  • Collaborate with the Regional Clinical Director regarding performance issues and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards

About the Job

Provision of clinical supervision to an assigned group of Resident Talk Therapists who provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, and counseling in an outpatient setting for a diverse caseload that can include adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of supervision to a minimum of six (6) resident clinicians.  Provision of weekly group supervision.  Provision of individual supervision to each resident clinician for every 15 clinical hours. This would equate to a minimum of 7 hours/week for a supervisor, which varies depending on the Resident caseload size.

  • Willing to maintain a clinical caseload of seeing clients with at least 10 hours of availability per week (not a supervision-only position)

  • Willingness to provide documentation oversight

  • Coaching on professional and clinical development of the resident clinician

  • Completion of weekly documentation as evidence of supervision sessions.

  • Completion of coaching documentation regarding any disciplinary or performance concerns.

  • Collaboration with the Regional Clinical Director regarding any performance issues.

  • Ability to be appropriately assertive in coaching residents on professional and clinical goals

  • Active license in good standing and residing within the state in which supervision will be provided

  • Meets state regulatory requirements for the provision of supervision to include maintaining required license and certifications necessary to provide supervision to license-in-process individuals, those already approved by their state board for supervision preferred

  • Active credentialing with the required Incident-to panels within the state where supervision will be provided

Supervisor Requirements for LPC, LMFT, and LCSW in CO

LPC Requirements:

  • Hold an active, unrestricted license as a, LPC in Colorado 

  • LPC Effective September 1, 2021, professional counselors engaged in the clinical supervision of mental health professional must meet the following additional critieria: 

    •  1) 3 years or 3000 hours post-graduate clinical experience as a couselor and successful completion of 1) a minimum of a 2 credit hour graduate course on clinical supervision from a CACREP accredited or equivalent program 

    • OR 2) a minimum of 6 clock hours of clinical supervision training that includes crieria listed below or 3) approved ACS certification from the CCE or 4) a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited or equivalent program or other counseling doctorates that have a supervision component and 3 professional development hours per renewal period specific to clincal supervision.

LMFT Requirements:

  • Hold an active, unrestricted license as a LMFT in Colorado

  • LMFT must supervise MFT candidate

LCSW Requirements:

  •  Hold an active, unrestricted license as a LCSW in Colorado.  

Compensation 

  • For Clinical Caseload: Clinician will receive Fee For Service rates with bonus potential (ex. 90837 could be $51.69 to $59.96 depending on caseload)

  • For Supervision: Provider will be compensated at a rate of fifty-five dollars and seventy-three cents ($55.73) per Group Supervision session and seventy-two dollars and forty-four ($72.44) per Individual Supervision session. In the event that the 90837-session code compensation is greater than the individual supervision rate, the 90837 rates (vs code) will be used. Provider will receive a code to document their supervision hours and will be required to complete recording documentation of such supervision.
