S4 HANA Basis Support Lead

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration, including at least 5 years in SAP S/4 HANA, Fiori, SLT, CPI, Solution Manager (SolMan) and GRC
  • Deep understanding of SAP HANA architecture, deployment models, and best practices
  • Certification in SAP HANA administration is preferred

Requirements:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and support SAP systems (S/4 HANA, ECC, SRM, PI/PO) and manage SAP HANA deployments, including related components such as CAR and Fiori
  • Monitor system performance, analyze trends, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate issue resolutions with cross-functional teams
  • Manage Basis operations including CTS/TMS transport for ABAP/Java stacks, system refreshes and client copies, high availability, security hardening, OSS notes, and UNIX scripting
  • Ensure security, governance and compliance (GRC and SOX), DR planning/testing, SSO and web GUI security, SLA adherence, and maintain system documentation and KPIs

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of SAP S/4, ECC, SRM, PI/PO and HANA systems. The candidate should have a deep understanding of SAP HANA architecture and experience in managing large-scale deployments.

 

About the Job 

  • Provide in-depth experience in technical and operational support for multiple components of SAP systems, application servers, network layers and interface with SAP and non-SAP 3rd party products.
  • Specialist or subject matter expert with hands on experience, who primarily apply their technical skills on multiple mission critical SAP systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, identify and respond to trends in system performance and resource utilization with SAP technology stack, work with the required teams to identify database, hardware and network failure scenarios, determine in root cause and assist in resolution of issues discovered.
  • Support the following with installation, configuration, implementation, technical issue resolution & root cause analysis: SAP installations& upgrades including S4, CAR, Fiori, SLT & Solution Manager. Transport Management System for both ABAP & Java stack (CTS/TMS) Configure and maintain Solution Manager SLD, Charm, EWA, Satellite systems, SMD agents System refresh and client copies High Availability of SAP servers Performance tuning OSS Notes UNIX scripting & experience with OS and disk related technical tasks Virtual systems using VMWare
  • Security hardening at application, like gateway and message server security, ports, identifying and implementing OSS notes related to SAP security from the marketplace. Experience with SAP GRC, designing new roles, and analyzing existing SAP roles and recommend redesign based on best security standards and make sure system, data and application security is not compromised. Implementing SOX compliance policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Disaster Recovery (DR) Process for the SAP systems including updating of the DR plan, periodic testing and activation in the event of an emergency.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting technical issues related to internet user access (SAP), using Single sign on products, web servers, reverse proxy servers, internet browser security, SAP Web GUI, web dispatcher, services related to Web GUI access for internet SAP users.
  • Ensure all service level obligations are fulfilled. Create and maintain system documentation and problem logs. Adhere to turnover procedures.
  • Define and drive best practices in Basis Processes. Define, measure and report performance KPIs. Plan and execute initiatives, Prepare and publish status.

 

About You 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration, with at least 5 years of experience in SAP S/4 HANA, Fiori, SLT, CPI, SolMan and GRC.

  • Deep understanding of SAP HANA architecture, deployment models, and best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP HANA administration, including system installation, configuration, maintenance, and support.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.

  • Strong communication skills to work with other teams and stakeholders in the organization.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience with Cloud deployment is a plus.

  • Certification in SAP HANA administration is preferred.
