  • Technical drawings and specifications: produce detailed fire door elevation drawings using RapidSpec; ensure specifications are accurate, buildable, and aligned with approved fire door systems; collaborate with design and production teams to support accurate manufacturing
  • Compliance and regulations: ensure all fire door designs and estimates comply with current UK building regulations and fire safety standards; stay informed on updates to fire door certification, standards, and best practices
  • Collaboration and CRM documentation: maintain regular communication with the UK team; log all enquiries, quotations, communications, and progress updates within the CRM; maintain accurate and well-organised records to support efficient project delivery

As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our estimating and manufacturing capability and are seeking a skilled Fire Door Manufacturing Estimator to support our UK operations.

About the Role:

The Fire Door Manufacturing Estimator plays a critical role in supporting our Clients production and commercial teams by preparing accurate quotations and technical door specifications. Working remotely from India, you will collaborate closely with UK-based colleagues to ensure all fire door solutions meet UK regulations, client requirements, and manufacturing standards.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of fire doors, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to work effectively across international teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating & Quotation

  • Review client enquiries, drawings, and specifications to produce accurate and competitive fire door quotations.
  • Clarify project requirements with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure full scope coverage.
  • Ensure all quotes align with compliance, certification, and manufacturing standards.

Technical Drawings & Specifications

  • Produce detailed fire door elevation drawings using RapidSpec.
  • Ensure specifications are accurate, buildable, and aligned with approved fire door systems.
  • Work closely with design and production teams to support accurate manufacturing.

Compliance & Regulations

  • Ensure all fire door designs and estimates comply with current UK building regulations and fire safety standards.
  • Stay informed on updates to fire door certification, standards, and best practices.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain regular communication with the UK team via Outlook, Microsoft Teams, phone calls, and WhatsApp.
  • Participate in virtual meetings and provide timely updates on quotes and project progress.

CRM & Documentation

  • Log all enquiries, quotations, communications, and progress updates within the company CRM system.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organised records to support efficient project delivery.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred).

Technical & Industry Experience

  • Proven experience in fire door manufacturing estimation or a closely related role.
  • Strong understanding of UK fire door regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in RapidSpec or similar fire door specification software.
  • Experience using CRM systems and project management tools.

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple quotes simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with international teams.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
