IAM Engineer

Bethesda, MD | Remote | Contract Duration: 9+ months

Job Description:

Seeking for an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to provide engineering support for multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) services, focusing on continuous improvements and daily operations. You'll work hands-on with PingOne SaaS products, analyze and implement changes to the infrastructure, and collaborate with stakeholders to integrate and onboard new applications.

Core Work Activities:

• Act as a point of contact for MFA and Web Access Management (WAM) solutions.
• Collaborate with security team members for operational needs.
• Manage MFA and WAM services from design to deployment.
• Define and document policies and procedures.
• Implement and validate security controls.
• Provide guidance for troubleshooting operational issues.

Required Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security or infrastructure engineering.
• 4 years managing MFA offerings, including Passkeys, Biometrics, and PingOne products.
• 4 years of experience with Federation/SSO services and protocols.
• 2 years with Ping Access and Ping Federate architecture and implementation.
• 2 years of development experience in JAVA, HTML/JavaScript, and scripting.
• 2 years translating business requirements to technical requirements.
• 2 years with LDAP and directory services.

Preferred:

• 5 years of experience with IAM solutions integration.
• 2 years designing & implementing API services.
• Current information security certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
• Experience with cloud/SaaS IAM/WAM services and Zero-Trust Framework.
• Strong understanding of PKI and certificate management.
