The Role
We're hiring Quality Engineers to work at Veeva, working on various products in the Life Sciences industry encompassing the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.
As part of our Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team, you'll be responsible for functional and automation testing of software, ensuring customer success with every release.
What You'll DoCreate testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated riskDevelop deep expertise in the productConduct QA tests and verify outcomes within schedules/timelinesWork with software engineers, product managers, and other QA testers in an Agile team environmentWork closely with the automation group to automate features for better regression coveragePartially developing and running automation scriptsRequirements5+ years of solid, years of relevant work experience, including understanding and analyzing database design, data flow, and business logicDesign database test strategies and plans based on requirementsValidate inserted, updated, or deleted data against business logicCheck source-to-target dataWrite SQL queries to validate data integrity and consistencyValidate user roles, access privileges, and data masking rulesExperience with AWSStrong knowledge and experience in SQL Database testingCollaborate with developers, data analysts, and business analysts to understand data requirements and workflowsStrong verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of Software QA methodologies, tools and approaches (functional and/or automated testing) in a software company with short release cyclesExperience in creating testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated riskWriting test cases and automating them, covering both sanity and in-depth testing including and not limited to boundary, negative, compatibility, end to end, and concurrency testsWork closely with the automation group to automate features for better regression coverageConduct QA tests and verify outcomes within schedules/timelinesBachelor’s in Mathematics or Computer Science/Applications or similar fieldNice to HaveExperience in Java, Python, or other object oriented programming languageExperience with products like Jira, Confluence, Test Rail is an advantageExperience in a SaaS environment that has an agile development process is a huge plusPerks & BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and basic life insuranceFlexible PTO and company paid holidaysRetirement programs1% charitable giving programCompensationBase pay: $70,000 - $120,000The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role.
