Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Applied Epidemiology, is an enthusiastic and flexible public health professional who manages and implements public health research with internal teams and external partners. The Senior Manager has a strong epidemiological background and is able to manage and design epidemiological and vaccine studies, including vaccine effectiveness and impact evaluations and disease surveillance projects. The position requires exceptional analytical and data management skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and translate data into meaningful insights for policy and practice. The Senior Manager will also develop relationships with partners to implement projects and collaborate across disciplines to strengthen the use of evidence in decision-making.
The successful candidate will play a key role on a dynamic team. Responsibilities will include project management; supporting the development of grant proposals, protocols, and project implementation plans; designing and implementing research protocols; leading and conducting advanced data analyses; contributing to the writing of scientific manuscripts; and communicating results. The Senior Manager will contribute significantly to the management of a cholera project, including a clinical trial of oral cholera vaccine dosing intervals, as well as other responsibilities and projects within the portfolio. In this role, the Senior Manager ensures Good Clinical Practice and protocol compliance through site monitoring and data quality control activities and is responsible for regular reporting to the funder.

Sabin’s philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased, equitable, competitive compensation and benefits. Using benchmarking and salary survey data, the starting annual salary for this position ranges from $103,000 - $118,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, certifications/degree. As a grant-funded organization, Sabin actively seeks funding for existing and new programs.
