About the Role

PromptPeople is hiring a Financial Controller for a US-based CFO advisory firm working with high-growth DTC and eCommerce brands.

The firm provides outsourced CFO services including financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic finance support.

We are looking for a high-caliber finance professional who can combine strong accounting fundamentals with analytical thinking and financial modeling.

This role works directly with founders and operators of scaling eCommerce businesses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and accrual adjustments

• Manage revenue recognition and cost allocations

• Build and maintain financial forecasts and cash flow models

• Analyze financial performance and identify key business drivers

• Support budgeting and scenario planning

• Work with data from Shopify, payment processors, and advertising platforms

• Present financial insights and reports to clients

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or controllership

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting

• Experience preparing financial statements and forecasts

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

• Excellent communication skills in English

Strong Plus

• Big 4 background (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG)

• Experience in DTC / eCommerce companies

• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting

• Experience working with US companies
