Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service
  • Meet with clients to discuss event vision and venue preferences
  • Expertly request proposals for properties
  • Negotiate the best deals for clients
  • Remain the point person during the contracting process
  • Possess organizational skills and manage details effectively
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and teammates
  • Coordinate and attend global site inspections as needed
  • Participate in re-negotiations or cancellation negotiations as needed
  • Promote a positive team environment and assist with onboarding new colleagues

Requirements:

  • 5 years in hotel procurement or equivalent experience

  • Collaborative and passionate about building relationships
  • Incredible communication skills to articulate vision and inspire

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Required Skills:

  • Vast experience with Cvent and comfortable with technology
  • Complete understanding of Cvent functionality to advise and educate users
  • Negotiate best possible rates and program concessions
  • Knowledgeable of contract processes and legal addendums
  • Highly motivated to meet timeline expectations
  • Passion for providing unparalleled levels of hospitality and consultative service

Preferred Skills:

  • CMP preferred, but not required
