About the Role:
At Oowlish, we partner with growing brands to turn Shopify into a true revenue engine — not just a storefront.
We are now looking for a Shopify Developer & CRO Specialist who combines strong technical Shopify expertise with a deep understanding of conversion rate optimization and e-commerce performance.
This is a hands-on role.
You will not only define improvements — you will also implement them. You’ll work directly on Shopify themes, performance optimizations, UX enhancements, and conversion experiments, while collaborating closely with leadership to drive measurable business results.

Shopify Development & Technical Execution:Customize and optimize Shopify themes (Liquid, sections, templates)Implement performance improvements and technical enhancementsTroubleshoot and resolve theme or app conflictsImprove mobile experience and site speedSupport advanced Shopify configurations when neededCRO & Revenue Optimization:Identify conversion bottlenecks across the funnelDesign and implement A/B tests and UX improvementsImprove AOV, conversion rate, and revenue per sessionOptimize checkout flows and product pagesImplement upsell, cross-sell, and bundling strategiesShopify Innovation & Best Practices:Stay up-to-date with Shopify releases and new featuresApply the latest Shopify capabilities (apps, checkout extensibility, markets, etc.)Identify “quick wins” and product hacks within the Shopify ecosystemRecommend tools and apps that improve performanceCollaboration & Delivery:Work closely with designers, marketers, and leadershipTranslate business objectives into technical implementationsCommunicate performance impact clearly and confidentlyMust Have:4+ years of experience working directly with ShopifyStrong hands-on experience with:LiquidTheme customizationShopify admin & apps ecosystemProven experience improving:Conversion RateAOVFunnel performanceStrong understanding of e-commerce metrics and business impactExperience running and implementing CRO experimentsNice to have:Experience with Shopify PlusFamiliarity with headless Shopify (Hydrogen/Oxygen)Background in product management or project coordinationExperience with analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar, etc.)Portuguese language skills
