Description:

The Emory Clinic is seeking a Geriatric Psychiatrist to join a dynamic team of clinicians, educators, and researchers dedicated to delivering high-quality care in an innovative environment. Our mission focuses on developing new treatments and training the next generation of psychiatrists.

 

The qualified candidate will serve full-time as an attending physician within our Geriatric Psychiatry Division. Responsibilities include providing psychiatric care to both new and established patients, with opportunities to teach fellows, residents, and medical students. The role also involves attending case conferences and participating in administrative and educational meetings.

 

In addition, the attending will have the option to engage in research activities, including clinical studies, quality improvement projects, and the development of evidence-based practices and specialized treatments. Inpatient on-call responsibilities will be included as part of the faculty call schedule.

 

The role is structured with 80% clinical care and 20% dedicated to administration and teaching or research. Research or related funding may adjust the time allocation for these activities.

 

Minimum qualifications include an MD or DO degree, completion of a four-year psychiatry residency, and a geriatric psychiatry fellowship. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a medical license in the State of Georgia and must be board certified or board eligible.

 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
