NETGEAR Inc. is looking for a skilled and self-motivated Staff RF Engineer to become part of our RF team.
Job Qualifications
As a Staff RF Engineer, you will participate in,
· Design and development of Hardware including Power, RF Frontend design (WiFi, BLE, Zigbee and etc…. Transmit & Receive) & Digital mixed signal circuit design (PCIe, USB2.0/3.0, DDR, eMMC, Multi-Gig Ethernet and etc…)
· Hardware Device Verification Test (Hardware Power, Digital and RF DVT)
· Wireless Regulatory test and debug support
· Factory on-site test and debug support for PR/FAI for critical wireless products
The following qualifications are mandatory for all candidates:
· BSEE or MSEE with a GPA 3.0+
· Broad understanding of telecommunications and wireless/cellular systems.
· Good understanding of TCP/IP.
· 10-15 years academic plus professional experience.
· Excellent verbal and written skills.
The followings skills are also highly desired and are considered a plus:
· Work with Broadcom, Qualcomm, MediaTek & Realtek WiFi Chipset design
· Good understanding of one or more wireless standards: WLAN (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be/ad/ay), 2G, 3G, 4G, DECT, WDCT, BT, Zigbee & Z-wave.
· Good understanding of POE, PCIe, USB2.0/3.0, DDR, eMMC, Multi-Gig Ethernet circuit design.
· Good understanding of regulatory test procedures and requirements.
· Basic RF Design including Impedance Matching, Filter design & Antenna design.
· Basic Soldering skills.
· Experience with basic wireless test equipment: Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Vector Network Analyzer, RF High Impedance probes, Function Generators, Oscilloscope & Multi-meter.
· Experience with NI Labview, IXIA Chariot, Iperf / Jperf, Microsoft Office, Omnipeek & Automation Anywhere.
