Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in manual testing for backend and web applications, with a clear focus on API validation, internal logic, and process reliability.

This role requires high ownership, strong communication skills, and the confidence to challenge implementations when something doesn’t add up.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze application scope and translate requirements into clear test plans, workflow maps, and detailed test cases.
• Execute end-to-end manual testing lifecycles including Functional, Regression, and Stress testing.
• Perform deep backend and API testing using Postman, validating REST services, JSON/XML payloads, and basic SQL queries.
• Own defect tracking and reporting in Jira, ensuring clear documentation, reproducibility, and follow-up until resolution.
• Support the execution of existing automation scripts, identifying strong candidates to transition manual cases into automated suites.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product, and other stakeholders to define environments, clarify logic, and improve overall QA practices.
• Maintain clean, updated QA artifacts and ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in QA, with a strong background in manual testing for backend and web applications

• Hands-on mastery of Jira for bug tracking and familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

• Proven expertise in API / REST testing using Postman, including JSON/XML validation

• Basic SQL querying

• Previous experience with automation tools and the ability to run and debug automated scripts

• Strong documentation and communication skills, capable of mapping workflows and mentoring team members

• Strong English level- Minimum B2 level proficiency, C1 preferred
